HV and lighter rifles are allowed in all
club matches.
Match fees: $30.00 - members and $40.00 -
non members, 1/2 fee for one yardage.
Challenger Class Info
HCS’s “Challenger
Class” will
be continued in
conjunction with the “group” matches. Please see
the
following:
HCS, which hosts benchrest matches March through August
of each
year at the Dietz range, New Braunfels, TX, would like to invite
interested
shooters to participate in our matches and has instituted a
new
“
Challenger” class for those who do not have a dedicated
benchrest rifle.
Courses of fire will be standard National Benchrest Shooters
Association
Varmint for Group or Varmint for Score (the shooter can choose
in which
type of match he or she wishes to participate) at 100 and 200
yards and, IN
GENERAL, NBRSA rules will apply. There are no restrictions
on the type
or weight of rifle to be used other than 50 cal. rifles and
rifles with muzzle
breaks will not be allowed. (special exceptions can be made
for muzzle
breaks). Rifles will be fired in standard benchrest manner
from a
mechanical front rest, bi-pod or sandbags. A total of 50 rounds
for score
and any amount of sighters you desire will be needed to complete
either
course of fire.
Sign up begins at
8:00 AM and shooting begins at 9:00. Matches
usually are completed by 3 to 4 PM.
Club Membership is $100.00 per year and
includes shooting privileges at the Dietz Range (including
Mon and Tues
when it is normally closed.) Membership is not required to
shoot in club matches.
All target duties and scoring are done by range personnel not
the
competitors. Come on out and help the club get this new class
established.
